is it legal to date other people once a legal seperation is filed

ive filed for legal seperation. me and my husband are done and ive kinda been talking to someone and dont want it to come back as adultry. i only started talking to him after every thing was decided.

I agree with Spasnikitz. Wait til you are divorced so that you have time to get over the emotional things. You still have some things to go thru yet.

if you live in a no fault divorce state it's fine - if you live in a state the recognizes fault divorce - don't date.

I personally don't think dating is a good idea unil your divorce is final for more reasons that the legal one - you are in an emotional time and are very vulnerable - you can easily get caught up in something that ultimately isn't the best for you due to sadness & lonliness.

I guess it depends on your state laws. I spoke with a judge here in michigan today and he said it is not legal to do until you are either seperated or divorced for six months
