Waiting to File?

My husband and I have decided to divorce but he wants to wait until his campaign is over in August.  He makes the money and I stay home with the kids.  Should we wait until then?  Do me and the kids stay in the house?  I feel guilty staying here.  I start school this month for my RN and will hopefully have my feet on the ground in 26 months.  It is weird living together knowing that we are divorcing.  There is a lot of tension.

Considering your history of affairs, it may be in your best interest to stay.  Your stbx may be more lenient in the divorce settlement??

I guess if you don't want to stain his political aspiration - then you stay together and grit your teeth. Just keep yourself and the kids super busy so when he is home, you either are not there or pre-occupied with something else. also tell him he needs to make it worth your while to be so accomodating when it does come time to divorce.

If you don't care about the politics -  then you decline, and start the divorce.
