Enhanced Earnings in New York From Wife to Husband

My wife and I are divorcing but have yet to meet with an attorney. My wife makes nearly twice what I make in a profession in which she earned a professional degree and license while we were married (years ago) and I was the sole earner.

Would anyone know if I am a) entitled to a percentage of her current earnings, or b) entitled to a percentage of her pension?

Also, with such a disparity in earnings, will I be paying support for our two children who will live with her and also support for the house mortgage?

I need specifics - what state you are in and how long you were married to accurately answer you on the pension.

no, you won't get a percentage of her earnings.

on the child support, yes, if the children live with her you will be paying support, regardless of the income difference, the children deserve to be financially supported by both parents as if they weren't divorced.

the motgage, is negotiable. You can ask her to buy you out of your equity on the home.
