6 months

can I get a divorce after 6 months with no children and no separation agreement or is the agreement a requirement (live apart) ?

you didn't put your state so I can't tell you specifically - somw states allow a shortened separation period or even no separation period if it is uncontested.

please list your state and I can tell you for sure

This depends on the state that you live in. In the state of Maryland you are required to be separated for a least a year, if there is no infidelity, abuse etc. you may want to check within your jurisdiction to see what the laws are. Better to do it early if there are indications of incompatiblility. Darn it I got my fingers broken in the first year and stayed for 7...stupid me...now I have involved an innocent 4yr old in a mess...and I stand to have my credit ruined and him gaining use and possession of our house because I moved out after he refused to put the house on the market.
