Letters/affidavits - who reads them?

Exactly who reads these letters that people write for me?  My lawyer, I know, and then the judge?  Are they read aloud in court?  How large a part do they play in decisions regarding custody?

yes, he will see them as well. they are evidence in the case.

no, they are not read aloud in court.

the judge and any other court professionals that are a part of the final decision in your case (such as a GAL or home evaluator) read the letters.
