even if you could - honestly, what will it accomplish? why in the world would you waste money on attorney fees suing her - especially when it is not a sure bet you will in anything?

For all you know when they first met he lied through his teeth about you, if she even knew he was married.

the person who wronged you is your ex - don't lower yourself to looking desperate for revenge - the best revenge is living well after him anyway.

It also depends on where you live.  Some states allow for break-up damages, (like North Carolina) but you have to be able to prove that the divorce is directly related to the affair, and-if I remember correctly-be able to prove there was sex.

Usually the basis for a lawsuit is that you have to incurr damages. Like the break up has to damage you and your feelings are not usually looked at, only finances.

Having said that, you can sue anyone for almost anything. Is It worth it, only you can answer that.

I know of Girlfriends that were sued for child support by the estranged wife, and had their wages garnished, to pay for child support that the husband would not pay.

Good luck
