Several dilemmas in my situation

My husband came to me in Feb. and said he was very confused and discontent and was doing some serious soul searching. He has owned a business with two other partners for almost eight years and there has been much stress and pressure involved during the last five of those eight years. He also retired from a government job five years ago which means he is home every night and weekend, and he feels like that has also contributed to our problems. He insists there is no other woman and that is not what he is looking for and I have seen nothing that would make me think otherwise. He went to the doctor a couple of months ago at my prodding because I thought he was depressed. The doctor said he was just stressed over his business and that it is situational and he also gave him some Viagra because our sex life has suffered a lot over the last 3-4 years....I am interested and he is not. He has yet to try the Viagra and when I asked him why, he said he wasn't sure if he wanted it to work or not. He said he loves me but doesn't think he is IN love with me anymore about 27 years of marriage. Over the last two months of me processing all of that, I am of the opinion that he has already 'left' the marriage since he is not interested in seeing a marriage counselor so I am not just trying to figure out what to do from here. Our last child will be leaving for college in August and we had said we would not make any major changes until that time but everytime I bring up the financial aspects of a separation and/or possible divorce, he gets very angry and insists that he is not going to be unfair to me and that he will be sure I am taken care of. Problem is, he can't seem to explain to me how that is going to transpire and when I mentioned that maybe we should seek legal counsel for advice he was furious. He is angry that I would ever think he would cheat me out of what I should have coming to me but that is that question I have.....what do I have coming to me.....what am I entitled to? Half of his third of his business, half of what we sell our home for, half of what we sell our vacation condo for, half of his retirement, and half of our 401 K?

Yes, yes, yes, to all your questions. You need to start getting your "ducks in a row". Balances on all accts. if you can get them without making him angry.Copy of tax returns for the last several years. Also pull both credit reports. You are entitled to one free credit report on each of you per year. A cedit card in your name if you don't already have one. He could possibly be hiding assets from you before he decides what he wants to do.
First of all go see an attorney to find out what your rights are. They can tell you what you are entitled to. Don't write a check from a joint acct. if you need to pay for advice.
This is a 27? year marriage you are talking about. You were there thru the good and the bad. I'm sure you helped with the business in some capacity. Research divorce laws for your state. That can tell you a lot before you see an atty. for advice. Need I say don't tell him you are doing all of this. Consider it for information purposes only unless he does decide to go for the divorce. For someone who says he will see you taken care of he seems to angry if he can't explain how. Quit asking and start geting info from other sources. Good luck,
