Separated and want to take my child on a vacation

I am legally separated for over 1 1/2 years now.  I have a 3 year old son.  I want to take my son to Disney as this is the last year the theme is "a year of a million dreams." I booked the vacation package to include him and the mother of my child refuses to let him go.  She said he can't go unless she goes with him.  The child has no disabilities, its only for 4 days and he will be with me the whole time.  Is there any way she can legally prevent him from coming? What can be done to get documentation that he is allowed to go on the trip? I am wondering if this should be taken to court with a lawyer and presented in front of a judge.  I've never been in a situation like this before and I already paid for this trip.  The money is not refundable and my son really wants to go. Any help you may have is GREATLY appreciated.
