Is YouTube a Good Place to Vent?

Tricia Walsh-Smith took her complaints about her wealthy husband, Philip Smith, to YouTube and found an audience of millions. But has it helped or hurt her cause?

Before they married, Walsh-Smith signed a prenup giving her the couple’s home in Florida and $500,000 a year in the event of a divorce, with the bulk of his estate going to his daughters. Now Walsh-Smith wants to get the agreement she signed thrown out.

New York doesn't have a no-fault divorce law, and marriages can be ended only for cause. In her six-minute YouTube video, Walsh-Smith presents her case, complete with gritty details about the couple’s lack of a sex life — which is grounds for divorce in New York.

What do you think about this? Is YouTube a good way to air your feelings? Do you think it could sway the case one way or the other?

Actually, when scorned ex's take to the net to air their anger in places such as YouTube, MySpace, Facebook etc - and it is brought to light in the court - it is not looked at favorably AT ALL. There is an undercurrent from that point forward with the judge and both counsel as to mental stability.

Using the "lack of sex" (aka constructive abandonment) as grounds for divorce is an iffy prospect. What their sex life prior to marriage was as opposed to what it was after marriage comes into play to establish what is considered "normal relations" between them - but to use constructive abandonment they actually have to be living together and not being sexually active, and I got the impression even while "happily" married they didn't spend a whole hell of a lot of time in the same place together...I don't think this is going to end well for her and her YouTube antics won't help.

Sad enough that people divorce, more sad that they can't just agree that things didn't work out and go on with their lives. Public cruxifiction of the ex is shameful from either party. As far as some of the goal diggers in the news lately ? I'll hold my tongue.
