Sometimes a couple falls out of love and gets divorced only to fall in love and reunite years later. It happens. For One New Delhi man it happened without the "falling in love" part.
Jatinderbir Singh has been separated from his wife for 17 years. In fact, they were divorced by the courts in 1994. He claimed that she was abusive and had deserted him in 1991.
Sukhwinder Kaur, his wife, says that she never deserted him, and she didn't agree to the divorce. She appealed to the court, and has been fighting to annul the divorce since it was granted.
India's high courts heard her case, and have found the husbands case to be unsubstantiated. They've reversed the divorce decree, and ordered the husband to move back in with his wife. Now the husband needs to do more than pick up the pieces, he needs to find a way to live with the woman he's been fighting with for the past 17 years.
