ATTORNEY FIRED ME!!! WHAT NOW???? HELP

My divorce action was started a year ago, I hired an attorney, my fees are over 8000.00 already and we have been in court twice! I was unable to pay her the amount that she wants at this time, she has filed for substitution of attorney, even though I have paid her over half of the 8000.00. There is alot at stake in my divorce, retirement, annuity, gun collection etc...... I don't know what I need to do at this point! He still has an attorney. If anyone could give me feedback I would appreciate it.
Thank You

considering the assets in your divorce, I highly doubt you will qualify for a court appointed attorney - you either have to borrow funds to pay her the money you owe, (or to retain new counsel) - or become educated in law...fast.

Sell things you own, borrow from family members, max out your credit cards - whatever you can do to get your fees paid - you have to do. If you don't have any options, then you are going to have to probably settle in your divorce case, and waslk away with a lot less than you wanted to.

I'm sorry for your situation.

If you cannot afford an attorney you should be able to apply for some help and most likely your Clerks office should be able to point you on the right direction. You may want to try some lawyer school... where recent graduates may get to practice... sorry that I don't have more suggestions.
