I can't believe that that I'm about to give this advice. Find out who his Commanding Officer is and get a good address to him. Write up a letter with the information above. Please have it proof-read for grammar and punctuation. Give him an advance copy and threaten to send it to his Commanding Officer. If he refuses to provide the support, then I would send it to his Commanding Officer with a copy of the court order.
As a former Officer in the US Navy when I have received a letter like this, I’ve immediately taken the service member to disbursing to start an allotment out of his paycheck directly to his spouse.Hope this helps.
Hi Mom of 5,I'm not sure if it is the same in Fla, but in NY I got Temporary Maintenance while going through the divorce. NOT that he paid it! HA! And my kids were grown, so I didn't need it for that, I needed it to get by since I didn't have a full career or training to go out and make decent money right off the bat. In NY if your spouse has been out of the house for a yr or more, it's considered Abandonment and is grounds for Divorce. The sad things is in all of the divorce crap, there are Laws but WHO will make these guys uphold the law and follow through!? My "creep" has violated the Judges directive on what not to do and what to do over and over and nothing has been done. I'm thousands of dollars in debt, most of it to pay my legal fess of $30,000!!! Keep a record of everything if you can. Get a spiral notebook, keep it by your bed, write down your expenses and what he has or hasn't given you. I went to a site call "women's divorce" to get alot of info. Good Luck.
