Would You Divorce Your Spouse Because of the Sex?

Sexual dissatisfaction can put a strain on relationships. In the US, some use it as an excuse to have an affair. At a Family and Procreation conference held in Tehran revealed that 50% of the women in Iran divorced due to  sexual dissatisfaction.

Figure's showed that over 60% of Iranian women lost their sexual appetite within months of marriage. Others women stated that they felt an outlet for their husbands sexual pleasure, and nothing more. Women admitted to being angry after sex, and found the thought of sexual pleasure a foreign concept.

This is the third conference of it's kind. The first two were called "Family and Sexual Health" conferences.  The change from "Sexual Health" to "Procreation" was at the insistence of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. The subtle difference between program names may reveal part of the underlying problem for Iranian women and sex.

I think sex plays a huge role in marriage... as it does in any other sentimental relationship... obviously depending on the religious or moral ideas of the couple importance of sex before marriage would be different... but the sense of closerness it creates cannot be compared to any other form of contact.... I don't it serves only a reproduction purpose... but mostly as a reminder of the love and passion in the couple.
