Maybe she could go to a finance company and borrow the money.  She'll pay a much higher interest rate but you could get it out of your name.  Leaving it in your name could keep you from getting a loan in the future.  She's already shown she's irresponsible and doesn't care about her credit so why should she care about yours?  Do what it takes to protect yourself or you may regret it in the future.

Thanks,  I do not own my home..  I live in it rent free,  a family member of mine owns it,  he lives out of state and lets me live here  to do the upkeep for him.  I sorta doubt she could get a loan to refinance..... her credit is really bad.

Jackson's right.  Avoid leaving the loan in your name.    Equity is an option, also some kind of refi deal on the car.  Car loans, in some cases, are easier to obtain.

can you swap out her equity in the house and pay it off? anything like that?

I would do anything to avoid having her making payments on a loan you have in your name - i have heard too many stories about people getting hosed when the ex spouse cant / doesnt make payments and you wind up paying for thier car / credit card whatever.

Do what you can to avoid that (easier said than done, i know!)
