divorce process; which is the right way to go?

we started out as a dissilution last fall; we can not agree on a lot of issues.  We each have our own attorney.  I have already spent $2,000+ and I am no further ahead. We may be using a Mediator. How do I know if my attorney is doing everything in my best interest?  We have 2 children, have decided on shared parenting.  How do I know if I have everything covered for the benefit for my children as well as myself? We are still living together and that makes it hard for me; he gives me verbal harrassment, he is very intimidating.  I am looking out for the best interest for my boys, he is looking out for himself. Is there a forum on here or another site that i can get advise and support; I feel alone and lost at this point.

It is not too late yet... this website can give you a lot of advice... I would check the Information Center and also the people here is great and very cooperative... read a lot and use the calculators to fin out... if you have an attorney... he/she should be giving yo the right information... It is sad when in a divorce situation one of the parents looks for him/her-self more than the kids interest... but if you do the things right... and the first one would be read about your State laws cause they are different from State to State and that may affect a lot how your divorce decree would look like at the end. Good luck.
