Question

  Posted to group - Difficult Ex's    <<Previous    Next>>

The new man in my children's lives and my children's mother are a problem. They have violated every parenting guideline for children of divorce.

I'm having some difficulty dealing with my ex wifes new husband and his involvement in parenting issues. He has identified himself in public as "dad", endangered my children by leaving guns laying around, allowing them to ride quads with no protective gear and manipulating the children to lie or never ride the quads again if they tell me. He uses religion as a manipulator and during my sons recent surgery was very invasive into the event. My ex refuses to communicate and he responds for her to all of my written concerns. Suggestions? I've tried all of the traditional means and every time I am sure I have more than enough to make a case I find the system is not going to back me. Dr.'s are mandatory reporters but no report was made for the dangerous use of the quad. Services To Children and families was made aware of the guns but basically told me that while I could file a complaint little would be done and it would only cause further problems with my ex.

Any time a person around your children that is exposing them to danger it needs to be dealt with in court.
You will have to have proof though and if it is your childrens testimony then they will have to testify.        Good Luck!

If he is leaving guns around the kids, you could report it to the police or Child Protective Services. They would definitely do an investigation.
It's not clear what do you want to be done in this matter in general.
