I know exactly how you fee as I am getting out after 37 years.  I am scared to death also.  I have been emotionally abused for many of those years.  Please get out before it breaks your spirit as it has mine..but do your homework first.  After all these years he is claming that everything is his in separte property.  Do all your  planning first.  Chances are he is already hiding stuff.  I am at "linkie" or "linky" (can't remember what I wrote.

I have a lot of respect to the fact that you want to keep your marriage despite what your husband is doing. I would say you guys need counselling cause it seems to me that he already has decided he wants a divorce. If he doesn't want to keep the marriage there is not much you can do... but with his cocky attitude he may be jeopardizing his future visitation rights with your children... I understand you are still in love but think about what kind of man would do the things you are telling us here... not a very good one. My advice... get a divorce and get everything you are entitled to...
