how do i know if my marriage worth saving

I don't know why you want to get divorced. But I will say, I believe that there are three things you need to make a marriage work -- trust, respect and love. You can learn to love someone again. You can rebuild trust over time. But in my mind, if the respect is gone -- you don't respect that their decisions are in your best interest or in the best interest of your marriage, you don't respect their ability to tell you the truth and, based on their actions, they don't respect you physically or emotionally in the way in which you should respect a life parter -- then you are not in a relationship anyway. I believe divorce is a last-ditch option for most people. And if you take a moment from life to be still, you'll be able to hear your heart. And it will tell you what to do.

Sometimes when we are not happy we tend to reflect that unto others... many husbands and wifes that are not happy blame everybody elses but themselves for their lack of happiness. Shawn210 is very right... look deep inside and you will know if you are really honest with yourself if it is really him who makes you unhappy. I can only talk for myself now... but when I am not happy with myself, I don't like it at all and try to blame it on my boss, subordinates, wife and kids... the hardest part is to stop all that blaming and look inside. Thank you both so much for responding.  You have some really good points Shawn210.  I'm going to really give this some thought.  I just don't know if he will change, but I really appreciate your comments here.  They helped.

You look deep inside your soul and ask your self if your happy or not, if your not happy, are you sure its because of your spouse, or could it be something else? Divorce is not always the answer to a marriage that is on the rocks. Counseling for you, your spouse, or both of you together may turn your marriage around and clear up the doubts and questions you are having. 
We are all here to listen, help, and give advice, chances are someone else has been thru the exact same situation you are going thru and they might be able to tell you what worked out for them, but you didnt really say anything about why your thinking about ending your marriage.
