It's less expensive if you both agree to how to split up your money, home and other things -- even if they aren't much. If you agree, you can get an attorney to put together the paperwork for you and there are court fees, but it shouldn't be too much. It just depends on the state and county in which you live. I'd suggest going to the Web site for your clerk of court and see what you can find out there. There's also divorce kits you can use. Take a look at at these articles as well....
