Yes, I said it, Anti-Valentines....
It never has been my favorite holiday. Okay, when I was in elementary school, it was fun to have cookies and give everyone cards (even those you didn't like...). But, as I got into high school and didn't date, I began to hate it. many of my friends got balloons and cards and such. I got nada. Sucked big time.
And, then, I met my ex. Now, he could be a really romantic guy. of course, it was the same person who was TRYING to be all cute when, during a romantic moment looked into my eyes and said, "I'd say you have really pretty eyes if I didn't know you were so full..." and, I stopped him right there. It's okay to say silly things like that at others times. But, come on.
Anyway, we never did go all out on that day, which was fine with me. I looked at it more as another day. Why should you go all out on just one day? because everyone else is doing it? Show me you care on some other random day- like July 12th. It doesn't matter what the day is. It's about being there for one another.
So, to all my friends- happy Anti-Valentines Day!
Well, y'all know my personal stance on this most hideous holiday, which I refer to as SINGLE'S AWARENESS DAY, OR SAD.
Nice to know someone gets flowers, Iam....no one I know besides you got them, so you may be onto something...although I have a man-friend, we just both get annoyed by the whole shebang, so we tend to denigrate it.

I like Valentine's Day. The IM sent me a dozen strawberries dipped in different chocolates. YUMMMM. My daughter gave me a card she made in Spanish class. "Te Amo" (I Love You!).
This is why I will remain the trophy girlfriend forever. In my experience, once you get married, it all comes to a screeching halt.
