help me please!

HI MY WIFE AND I HAVE BEEN MARRIED FOR 4 YEARS. WE ARE JUST SEPERATED RIGHT NOW BUT SO FAR NO PAPER WORK FILED FOR THAT YET. WE LIVE IN MASS. AND WHAT I NEED TO KNOW IS WOULD I GET ANY OF HER SETTLEMENT MONEY THAT SHE RECEIVES FROM A CAR ACC THAT SHE WAS IN BEFORE WE WERE MARRIED? WE DIDNT DO A PRE NUP. AND IM ON SSDI AND SHE MAKES 45K A YEAR. ALSO WOULD I ATLEAST GET ALIMONY BECAUSE SHE MADE MORE THAN ME? THANKS ERIC

I agree with Robert you need legal advice. I would not think you would get any of the settlement since the money will come to her in her name. Do you two own your home together? You may be able to split the equity. Can you work things out with her?

I don't think you'd get the settlement, but I'm not a lawyer, and I don't live in Mass. Your best bet is to talk to someone who is, and does. An attorney can give you all the answers as far as what to expect. Talk to your friends, find a good one you can trust.
