Alimony question

I live in FL and make a modest 75K gross including overtime. My wife just filed for divorce and I should be getting served soon. I worked and she was a stay at home mother, 8yr old daughter involved. I've read the FL stautes and understand what they take into account in determining alimony. I know I'll have an obligation for child support. Child support will be in the $800-$1100 range. Household bills are roughly $3300. Do the math...that does not leave much for me to live and start my life. She has recently gotten a job, but it's freelance work. It's not steady and she won't share what she makes. I'm sure that this info will come out in discovery. My question is based on actual cases what am I really looking at for Alimony payments? Anyone willing to share their RL experience?

Thank you both for your responses. I really appreciate the help. My lawyer is recommending that we try and have at least minimum wage imputed to her. She has a college 4-yr degree and is in excellent helth. She runs hal-marathons is is traing for a full marathon and a triathlon at the moment. Working is not a concern for her. : (

I did a DissoMaster calculation. The spousal support is around $1,300.00.

I would talk to an Attorney. They'll have a better idea and a better broad spectrum view of what people pay in your area. Most of us have special circumstances, and only know our individual scenarios. I can tell you that I make a modest "alot-less-than-you-do" and am paying a California mortgage that equals what I make in a month, and can't dump the house for another 2 years, so groceries and bills come straight out of my savings that we split when she left. I don't pay any alimony. So I'm the polar extreme. Your best bet is to see an attorney.
