Sometimes you have to readjust your life and change everything so that he cant find you. I had to do that with an ex. I moved, changed jobs, and phone numbers. Dont leave a trace or he will never leave you alone. He sounds very dangerous, I wish you luck. Buy something to defend yourself. I am a big fan of baseball bats but I suggest erasing your existance from his world.

I with mine for 12 years too and I was scared when I left. I was his everything and I thought for sure he would come get me. So I stayed with family so that I wouldnt have to be alone and there would be others around to watch my back. Over time my ex got the message I was not going back. I had left him and gone back too many times to remember before doing it for good. After a few days or weeks you might miss him. Fill your time with new and different things to do; go to the library, excercise and/or get in touch with friends that you have lost touch with. Most of all, stay strong!

I would call the abuse hotline to the right of this box, Information Center. You need to stay strong and safe. How long is he in jail for?
