Custody of Step-child

The judge gave joint custody of my 14 year old daughter from my first marriage to my second husband. How can I reverse this decision? My ex argued that since we had been married since she was 5, he was her father. I have grave concerns about him, as they live in a 1 bedroom apt, and sleep in the same room. No one seems to listen to my concerns though.

you can't - he won by the law of estoppel - unless he actually hurts the child in a real sense - he has full rights as a biological father.

many people have one bedroom apartments and have to share the bedroom - it is not cause to reverse custody.

are there any lawyers that can help with minimal charge $? Without any corroboration, I am at a stand still with this.

I have been to court multiple times about this... her birth father died when she was a baby. The lawyer I have doesn't seem to be worth the money I have paid her. Any legal backing on this?

That doesn't sound right - is her birth father in the picture as well? With the sleeping arrangements and the fact that he is not her father (you don't mention that he even adopted her during your marriage), this seems like something worth going back to court for.
