Question about Car

I have a question - My stbx co-signed on my vehicle a month before our marriage. How do I go about getting his name off my vehicle or does it stay on the title until it is paid for?

My wife took the Suzuki and it is owned in both our names.   When she left for her affair, I canceled the insurance as I have 2 other vehicles to drive.   When she returned, she couldnot, and I mean couldnot insure it without my approval.   When she was totally pissed after 3 weeks I gave in and have been paying for the insurance up to today.   Since she is gone, my insurance will not dis-insure the Suzuki as it has to have her authorization as they are aware of the circumstances we have.    So today or tomorrow I am getting a different insurance company to insure my 2 vehicles and she will be screwed when she returns with her lover for a holiday.   My insurance company will notify her by mail or phone that it is dis-insured.    So in your case, his name is there permanently unless he takes it off.   Since money is owing, I think you are stuck.   The bank will not let either of you off the hook.
