HELP IL

I have NO income at this time due to a serious accident. My husband stop paying all bills in my name. Credit cards, Cable, Internet, Medical Bills, Cell Phone, etc... My credit is shot! I want to try and get on my feet again. But, everytime I try my husband seems to get away with knocking me down everytime. I have NO credit or Cash for food, gas, co-pays, medication, nothing. Do I have any rights? He still lives in our home. I really need to see my doctor. What else should my attorney be doing. I have been waiting forever for A temporary Maintenance court date. But, this has been going on for over 1 year.

Thank you all for your comments. To your question - Yes...he sleeps at home 5 days a week. Iknow how he's with, but I don't know where they can always go?? Hotel bills have to be killing him. And, he eats out 90% of the time. If he buys some food, it's enough for himself. I was living on credit cards, that's what he told me to do. But, they have run out, he keeps the cash for his girlfriend and himself. My friends have been wonderful. I don't like to ask for anything. I used to be the one to go to. Oh, well... And, yes he is paying the bills that have his name on them. The mortgage, gas, elec.. I have seen A new side to A person, I thought I knew better than anyone, anyone else. When I do get some money, I will seek counseling. I just don't have the gas & co-pay to get there. I can't believe he can't see how serious this has become. I'm sad and in Awe. thank you again. It sounds like you need a new attorney. What the heck is that attorney doing for you. You need some family right now or a support group, SOMETHING. I don't know what could of happened to cause someone to be this cruel, but if you can get a job, I'm not sure how disbled you are I would try. I think there must be someone out there that is on your side.

Is he paying for your home? IF he is living there is he buying groceries and paying the electric bill? do you have family you can turn to?

divorce takes time, but a year? why? how are you living now without money? he must be paying for something if he is living htere right?
