Taken to court for his proof of child support?

My ex has sent me deposit slips of the months he has not been able to prove he has paid his child support. I agree - he has paid me - why is this my responsibility to prove in court what he should have been able to do without my input? How hard is it for a man that refuses to go through the state to understand that it is his responsibility to cover his butt not mine? I just don't get it.

better to keep things civil if it's possible. it's a pain to be the responsible one, but if it keeps you guys out of out paying high legal fees, maybe it's worth it?
