I ended up with a court date....

So my removal case is now on the docket for August 12th. Now I'm nervous.... I guess I can do nothing more than just bring in all the documentation I have about his failed visitation attempts, the domestic incident that came up this weekend with his gf and the environmental factors that are better about the area I'm moving to (schools and what not). How should I prep myself and what else should I bring to get me through this so the judge sees my point?

Have a friend over and PRACTICE your presentation. Do it until it is so automatic your feelings are muted.

You may not even have to get into it actually - since it is an agreed plan, the judge could just want to ensure your ex doesn't feel coerced.

Oh yeah and i keep reading about how hard it is to win a move away case and how little of them get approved.... does this really apply the same if we are in agreement about me moving?

And that's what I really need to watch....  I guess the fact that it's my kids I have to watch the passion in it. I mean really after the whole domestic thing that happened Sunday with the girlfriend I don't want my kids around or exposed to it anymore. And I don't really know how to say that without getting upset about it.

it's less about WHAT you bring and more about how you act when you are presenting it. Detach yourself - watch your emotion level - pretend you are talking about two other people - act like a lawyer. FACTS not FEELINGS.
