okay I have to go to court...... (Spaz)

Okay I called the courts and I still have to petition for the removal even though we have an agreement. They said if i come in with a notarized agreement between us it makes it easier for the judge but why should we still have to petition? Because it's Illinois law  or what? And what are the odds if we have an agreement signed like that the judge will say no? I'm packing my house now and getting a job lined up inside my parent company right now so I have one when I get there (we're moving to Seattle).... I'm stressed out now and I really don't knowif I should be worried or not.....

LOL it's never considered "bugging" from my point of view. =)

Better to ask than stress and wonder....

Thank you so much.... I'm always bugging you on here for answers to things but i know you know the ins and outs.... I think I'm just stressing cause the move in propsed to be 2 months from now and I'm just trying to get packed, get my kids school records and stuff altogether so we cna go to court say "Here it is" and be done with it. The judge should approve my request (I hope) I'm ridiculously specific with child support (which will be modified and reduced some), visitation and the fact that we will maintain joint legal custody even from that far away.

eh - procedure...some courts will waive a hearing, yours won't (the filing fee's ya know..cha ching)

as long as the agreement is reasonable a judge will sign off on it - I'd hazard a bet you will be in and out in 10 minutes.
