When you ex takes a trip!

I have been separated for about two months. Last night I learned through a mutual friend that my husband took a trip to Mexico with all his immediate family to go see the parents grave. I was hurt. I became sad and I couldn't get out of bed this morning. I couldn't even sleep last night. I didn't want to go to work so I called in sick. I keep asking myself why does this hurt me. It shouldn't matter anymore. He is going on with his life. I feel that he should have called me to let me know...but I also know that he has no responsability to do so. Has anyone felt like this before?

Yes, it hurts, it hurts a lot.  2 months is not really that long.  I don't know how they can just flip a switch and bang everything is fine, but know this.  He is covering for his true feelings, don't let it hurt you.

I think that its normal for someone who loves to feel this way, I been trough this. My stbx while we were still living togetherand had just told the kids about the divorce, she has been out partying with her friends and i think there may be other men involved also.So while the family has been going trough a grieving process, she has been partying, it was specially difficult to see my stbx get all sexy and go out and come back early in the morning or till the next day while i was in the sofa trying to sleep. There were days she took trips to Las vegas, palm springs and just to be with her friends, I am glad that she moved out of the house and that i don't have to see her anymore, even if i know that for sure thats what shes doing.

You've only been separated 2 months!!! Give yourself a break. You cant just turn "off" the feelings and emotions that you have for your HB and his family just because the 2 of you are "separated". What the heck does that mean anyway?? Separated just means you dont live together anymore. It doesnt mean you dont "feel". Its been 6 months for me and there are days of relief, sorrow, sadness and excitement. My HB bday is Tuesday. Im at a loss bc we've done the same thing every year for our bdays, as a family, for the entirety of our relationship and this year, there will be nothing for us as a family. Look, Its a roller coaster ride and it will be for awhile, but its getting better. Moving on will come....in time.

It's all part of the grieving process.  It really sucks, but you need to move on.  Easier said than done.  Believe me, I know.
