Fantastic! Finger Therapy Works!

Sometimes logic and reason work.  Other times, you're exhausted beyond the capacity for rational thought.  That's when I employ, 'The Finger'.  Here are some examples from my own personal experience:

1. Her attorney sent my attorney an email stating that there's no way to stop the divorce now even if my STBX wanted to.

The Finger was outstretched and flying high at that point.

2. In the same letter, her attorney said that if this goes to trial there will be no hope of reconciliation in the future because our relationship will be irrevocably broken.  Um...that's what divorce is sweetheart, irrevocably broken.

Finger is again pointed skyward with opposing fingers bent in salute.

Beware the false promises of divorce attorneys.  I know about hope. Hope is good, except where it's used against you.  Focus on your kid(s) and what's most important for them.  Everything else?

Smile, smile, smile....and when you're alone, give them The Finger.

I have found that the finger makes me feel sooooo much better as soon as he leaves with that little satisfied smile on his face.  I agree, a whole bouquet of fingers is best!

HIC so if you and your stbx decide (I know highly unlikely) that you no longer wanted to go through the divorce you couldn't just stop it?  Who is working for whom here?  If your stbx wanted to fire her atty that would be her perogative. (sp)  If your wife's atty tells your atty in an email that she is a member of Mensa that doesn't say much for being a Mensa.  Why even bring it up?  What relevance does it have here with this case.  When someone informs me in the process of conversation that they are a Mensa, then my impression of them is diminished.  Are they saying it to try and get more respect, well , that ain't going to do it for me.  I will respect you for how you treat people, not because you scored such and such on an IQ test.   You can have all the book smarts that you have earned in school, however, that isn't going to decided if you have sense enough to come in out of the rain.  Show me that you can respect the waitress at the restaurant, or the cashier at the local Wally World and you will garner more respect from me than saying that you are a member of Mensa.  Now the way you came out with it in regards to the conversation was fine.  But someone who says it just because they can, doesn't earn any browning points in my book.  Just my (I guess after all that) 25 cents worth.

I was surprised when my STBX's attorney stated this in one of her paragraphs.  It's just a tactic some lawyers use, but she's so transparent it's pathetic.  She loves to brag that she's a member of MENSA...oh wait....I am too.  :-)

I thought a divorce could be stoped if you wanted to. But hey what do I know?
Also I agree why would the attorney send an email like that?

As for the finger flying high. I have done that when I use to talk with my STBex on the phone. It just made me smile.

Sounds like a very strange letter.  Why would an attorney write such a thing?  Makes no sense at all.
