child support?

I have been married for 12 yrs. We was seperated about 3 years ago and we consulted an attorney for a divorce. Our lawyer was representing both of us and we was going for joint custody. I was told by the lawyer that I would have to pay him child support since my income was greater and since I worked nightshift. I'm preparing to file again. My question is will I be made to pay child support. I still want joint custody. I changed my job so now I work a dayshift and my income is half of what it was but he is not working just claiming unemployment benefits.

Why do you think you should not have to pay? Just because you are a woman. God why do women think the man has to pay for CS even if they make more than them. If you make more than him and both have custody, they you should have to pay.
