Warning. Country...Realistic or not?

This may not be realistic but this is what I will be holding out for. This whole thing has made me wonder if this is really out there, but I am going to believe it is...This is either doing the right thing or it is being incredibily naive yet again...but there it is...So do you believe it really exists?

For me, it depends on my mood. I like all kinds of music, some of everything.

I used to like country music... but then my stbx became a fanatic about it... now, every time I hear a country song I think of her... yeah... I don't like country music as much any more.....

YES! It does exhist, and damn-it we had it at one time.  I guess the question is can it remain so for a lifetime?  Only if 2 people are willing to give when needed, to "bend in the wind", as the old Tanya Tucker song goes!  I see now that we both were so devoted to the future, working towards getting the kids raised and a retirement plan in place that we forgot to enjoy each other and the present.  Our down fall!!!!  Live and learn.

It would be nice to be somebody's everything. I have given my all to someone. Now to give to myself for a season. Then I will be ready again. Yes, it is out there not ready for it yet.

I just couldn't do it.  I'm so sorry...

...but yes, sadly, country music is really out there.  I don't know why you choose to believe that it is if you're not sure; I mean, I wouldn't choose to believe Al Qaeda was out there if I wasn't sure they were.  But to each their own.  If I were you though, I wouldn't hold out for it--it's really not worth holding out for.  Just throw on some rock n' roll and let the good vibes flow.

I always liked Dolly....she seems very sincere and is such a gifted songwriter, but this song doesn't do it for me....

From now on, I will be my everything....why do I need to be some guy's everything? I used to be stbxh's everything, and now I am facing foreclosure and bad credit rating!

No thanks, I will not be making that mistake again!

PS. Not just her hair that has a life of it's own.... :)

You can only be someones everything just like Melaine claims if they also are your. Too often that burns out though   and your everything becomes your lost something. If only people would just understand what type of commitment it takes. But so many here realize that or so it seems.

It's funny that you posted this. As I was listening to the radio today I heard a song by Leonna Lewis called Better in Time. Everytime I've heard it it takes my breathe away. It occured to me that it would be a good theme song for this site. After reading your note I now realize that this site actually could have a NUMBER of theme songs for people that are different stages. The song that spoke to me (Better in Time) had lyrics that reflects EXACTLY where I am and you're obviously feeling other things. Not saying either one is better just different if you know what I mean. I just wish I knew how to include  the video for the song like you did but I'm not that smart. Oh well if anyone wants to find it it's pretty easy. Just google it and it'll come up right away....

Milly and Tracy:   You can be somebody's everything but he also has to be your everything.   I am now currently engaged to someone who treats me like gold.  He opens the car door for me and when we go to the store he insists on pushing the cart because that's his job.  He's one of those guys that is mechanically inclined and can fix any and everything.  (I just love that about him.  My ex barely new which end of the hammer to hold).  I don't have anything against someone who can't fix things, if they try or want to learn.  He had no desire to learn to do anything.  He was perfectly happy not doing anything.   You can be everything to someone, I found it a second time and I know that y'all can too.  Some men just don't use the sense that God gave them.  No it's not expecting too much to be someone's everything, I think that once a guy has been through a divorce that they are more appreciative of the woman and what they can bring to the relationship.  So hang in there people and you will find what you are looking for.

Yep - I'm a hopeless romantic, it's out there.  And how about Dolly's hair?  Wow, has a life of it's own doesn't it?

Well and to be perfectly honest, I was his everything.  Unfortunately, that guy he didn't deserve it and he decided to let it go.  So yeah, I believe it, but I'm a little bit more wise (I hope) about the "somebody".
