Question

Posted to group - What do i do now    <<Previous    Next>>

I need to know how to go about filing a legal seperation.

My husband and I have been seperated for 14 months now, and we have finally agreed on a legal seperation. Eventually I want a divorce, but for now a legal seperation is as far as he will go. I need to know how to get this process started. I have looked in the yellow pages but feel uneasy about that. I have talked to some friends to see if they know of anyone but nothing so far.

you need legal forms filed for this to be real. and depending on your state laws is signficant. ex: once legally filed, you are no longer responsible for his debts and v/v. so, you should pursue this with a lawyer or legal aid soon.
