STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS ON PROPERTY

my husband who I left (for reasons that I felt were immediate) I left all of my belongings at the house and now I want to pick them up (4 months ago) he said that the statute of limitations on my belongings is over and I have no right to them now, is that true?

are you divorced? why would you believe someone you left regarding the law? i don't think there is a statute of limiations here...that's crazy.
