Meeting that new significant other

I admit... I love being married so my first mission was to do what made me happy.

I NEED A NEW MATE!

Ok, people.... where do people meet a new significant other? Unless you're in your 20's or up to your early 30's no one wants to do the bar scene. So where are you supposed to meet a new someone? Meeting singles in a grocery store is a farce...Post your stories on where you met that post-divorced special someone.

My story is quite unusual...

I separated from my husband at 28 yrs old w/ a 4 yr old daughter in tow.  I hadn't worked the 7 years I was married so had no way to financially support myself nevermind a child.  I moved in with my sister and her husband, sharing bunk beds w/ my daughter in their townhouse basement.  My life was over!!

What topped my list was to get a full time job.. I did with the grand annual salary of $15,500 a year.  But I was proud of myself.. so next on my list was - finding my new mate... I loved being married and having a husband and knew I wanted that again.  So ... my sister's husband's brother ( i know, but let me finish ) was going through a divorce at the same time I was.  And had a daughter about the same age as mine.. so one evening when my sister and her husband were out.  I went to the basement and tripped the circuit breaker.  I called my sister's husband's brother and told him our power was out and asked if he could come over and check it out.  So he did :).  Any way long story short.. I started seeing him, planned things for our girls to do together.. and two days after my divorce was final, I got married again.

But wait,  so far, so good.  We have been married 16 years new years eve.  Sure we have our ups and downs and were both so paranoid that we'd make the same mistakes we did in our first marriages.  But we're here and this is my story..

Now my sister and I have the same last name again. And her kids are blood related to both my husband and me...
