help need advice

My son is 22 and is emotionally scarred from my 13 year marriage - My husband is a control freak but is improving but I just need some breathing space - I need to leave but my son is fianancially unable to take care of himself - I just need time to see if I want to continue the rest of my life in this marriage - It has been very hostile and controlling for years but my husband is trying but I just can't right now - Can I leave without causing a problem financially later if we need to divorce - He is so controlling until he will not helpfinancially - He wants it done his way - What should I do - My sanity is at stake

Your son is an adult and no longer your financial responsibility. You dont need to stay anywhere that you dont want to. It will not effect the divorce outcome either way. Thats what people do when they want to divorce...they leave. Do something for yourself. It will drive your controlling husband crazy but its not about him, this time its about you.

you should read some of the other posts like this. everyone keeps saying to call the abuse hotline. see that box over there called information center. click on that abuse help link and call those numbers. they can help with next steps.
