have you guys tried this yet? it's a marriage calculator!

Mine said that I have a 51% chance of already being divorced and a 6% chance of being divorced later on.  No wonder I'm divorced already!!  The odds are stacked against me!! Oh well, life goes on!! :)

Vey funny, I only have a 3% chance???

Just ran the numbers.  Mine - 21%  - Hers 63%

Ours - 100%

I ran my ex's thru the calculator. His is higher than mine. A 44% chance of already being divorced and 3% chance of divorcing. So I guess I'm in the middle of his stats and it was his divorce I got last December.

Hmmm....my numbers are 16% already divorced and N/A for the next 5 yrs...

His numbers are 36% already divorced and 6% divorcing in the next 5 yrs..

STBXH is screwing up my group's percentage!! :) 

Looking at this the chances I should not be getting a divorce are so low. Only 15% of my group is divorced with only 3% getting divorced in the next year.   I am the special 3% group. How depressing.

So I am not divorced or married is there a test out there that shows your probability of getting into another relationship. I see that as a pretty dim possibility at this point.

Wow. For me it was 40% already divorced with 10% more later. I ran the stbx and his was 36% with a 3% later. How does he get to rate better and he is the one that wanted the divorce? Go figure...

ok, so my stbx had a higher chance of getting divorced than I did.  I guess my question is, how do I stay married, while he gets divorced!?!

I recommend you go back to the surgeon who removed your sense of humor and ask him to please put it back.

A hypothesis is a suggested explanation of a phenomenon, or alternately a reasoned proposal suggesting a possible correlation between or among a set of phenomena.

Childless: everyone taking the survey is on a divorce website.

gomundo: considering the internet, nor divorce360, discriminate against the undivorced, I figure plenty of married and single folks as well, will take part in using the calculator. Stop hating and lighten up, if your a statistician find another line of work....

That was fun anyway. I have a 25% chance of already being divorced. I am as of last Dec.

If I'm not already divorced I have a 1% chance of divorcing.

I guess the other 24% that got me divorced was his need to be a serial cheater and lack of comittment to our marriage.

Mine says 10% chance.  Which unfortunately looks ridiculous right now.

As a statistician, I see a huge flaw in the methodology.  They are using national demographics based on age, education, etc., which is basically useless  You need to use all available information to form any hypothesis, which in this case includes the fact that everyone taking the survey is on a divorce website.

Our presence on the site would be by far the most important factor in the calculation, if it were inlcuded, as logically, that would have to be a much higher correlate than for age or education level. 

Example:  you might hear a stat like "you have only 1 in 10 million chance of being attacked by sharks."  This is inaccurate in the same way -- only 5% of the world's population will ever set foot in the ocean.

Amusing, but pretty silly and uninformative (nothing against you...).
