change reason

i was being nice and listed irreconsilble differences when actually she is a drunk(addiction). she's now going agfter everything including 100% custody of the kids. can i change my reason for divorcing her?

No you cant change the reason, but just because she is requesting it doesnt mean she will get it. Being an addict to anything doesnt matter regarding divorce. There isnt even a space to mark for that category, I dont think. Usually parents get joint custody. She cant get 100% custody unless you sign the kids over. She can request custodial custody but that only means they live with her. Judges are fair and they must follow the law. She is just throwing out threats. Until the judge says that its so, I would take each threat a day at a time. You WILL have your day in court.

Talk to a lawyer, the reason may not matter, but the drinking you may be able to raise as an issue in the custody proceedings.
