Travel Questions - so little time with so many questions

Goodness, I don't know what got into me - perhaps loneliness and my sister wanting me to fly in for Thanksgiving and stay a week.   I did it. Booked the flight and got a great deal to snow country BUT now I am questioning this because I still haven't seen or heard about the final papers.

  • Should I cancel the flight just in case I have to sign the papers during that week?
  • Should I tell my stbx I am leaving for a week and will be able to sign upon my return?
  • Do I even want him to know I am going?
  • Can they wait until my return to sign?

What if they push the final decree through and I don't even get to see or read them?

What are my rights then?

These might seem like silly questions but I didn't even stop to think about the papers until after I received the flight confirmation.

Hope your time at home this weekend was filled with lots of happiness. Thank you in advance for your response. me:)

One of the things I have learned through all of this is that nothing happens quickly unless both parties agree.  I hope you had a great week away from the craziness.

Oh go you goof - anything regarding your divorce can wait if it even comes up. Don't live your life around your ex.

You have 30 days (I think) to respond to all papers filed to you.  Go on your trip.  Have fun and enjoy your sister.  You may just end up sitting at home wasting time waiting for something that may never show up.

yes..spaz...other than the legality, your going is going to be the best thing for you.  Pushing you to go do something and start living is a wonderful sign.  You will have fun!  don't tell him unless you have to.

ENJOY!!
