quadro in a falling market

The awarded amount in the court settlement was half the dollar amount at the time she filed the petition.

The market now has taken much of the principle I paid into my accounts.  If they butcher them now, then they get almost all the shares.

How do I fight this?  Ask for a re-trial?  If I sign anything more with her lawyer, then they take almost all.

Why don't they just do what they say they want and leave me alone?  They obviously did not try to be fair or equitable, and have no abilities to work in a changing market.  Why didn't they award some amount in shares so that the price would very as they took their time to get anything done?

If I refuse to sing the butchering to myself, then what can they do?  WHAT CAN I DO?

No real accounting was used by these legal assholes.  If I knew that the petition was filed, then I would not have contributed anymore while I was away at work.  Also, all her actions just point to her fraud--she never contributed anything to my plans and agreement to marry.  The retirement was my goodwill for a far off future retirement, not her bitch retarded illegal entry into the fucked up USA.  I might not be able to help you all, but I never helped in the slave and smuggling trades either.

Eeee Gaaaddd. My sympathy.

I wanted percentages, but STBX wanted dollars. Once she started talking that language, I moved sufficient money into money-market funds and keep the rest invested. This was per her wish, BTW.

So if the market improves significantly during the divorce, as far as I'm concerned, the paper profits are mine, all mine. And ditto with any paper losses.

I think you need to get an attorney and get this changed. That'll cost, but probably far less than the losses you've taken in the recent market "downturn".

Let us know how it works out.

You need to get online and research QDRO. Then carefully reread every word on those very confusing papers. And they can be confusing. If you Don't understand call the plan administrator (there shoud be a number on the paperwork) and ask him to explain how it should work. I know that is your retirement money and you are upset but ask politely and calmly and you will get the info you need.

Mine were done in percentages and everything I have read says percentages. Let me know what you find out please.

Thanx for the reply.
No, my first sentance states that the final ruling in the court settlement was half the dollar amount.  That is what they stated in dollars which is cut out with the quadro.

This needs to be changed or delayed or something.  They just want money.  They do not care about fairness.  They can not even make decisions.
I did not think they would award  half the amount and then state that half in dollars, but they did.  Now I have to try to clean up the mess of dumb ass decisions--how is that equitable as FL law reads and how is my having to try to make things right fair within any lagal framework.  That is their job.

Does the QDRO state a percentage? If she gets 50% then it will follow the ups and downs of the current market. Her half will be valued from the date the QDRO is suspose to be split. So you both should come out about equal.
