ok the colorado formula for spousal maintenance (provided the combined income is LESS than $75000 gross) is as follows:
40% of the higher income party’s AGI less 50% of the lower income party’s AGIif this results in a negative number, no spousal support is awarded. Now if the combined income is higher,what you have to understand about spousal support is a lot more gets figured into it besides income - and judges have a lot of discretion when it comes to awarding it...in that you were only married 3.5 years, you wouldn't be awarded much for very long - you two didn't establish yourselves in they eyes of a court to a level where you couldn't go back to where you were when you first married - even if you are living a better life financially as husband & wife. So if your combined income is higerthan $75000, I'd need more info befreo I could tell you what you could possibly be entited to, if anything at all..
