Will judge give me 50 percent profit of the house?

I tried to be the "nice" guy with my wife and offered her my house to be transferred in her name with the bank in exchange for no Alimony or retirement. Now that the house is in her name with the bank, she is trying to get alimony and retirement. Divorce has not been finalized. My wife does not work and will not be able to afford the house. Will judge most likely make her sell it (my income will not be enough for her to live off of while living in the house) and will judge still make he split half the profit to me  (50 K in equity) , even though it was tranferred to her name since it is maritial property and was acquired during marriage. Thanks.

do you have an attorney?  If so then tell him to put it in your divorce settlement that the house was in lieu of alimony and retirement.  If the judge decides that the house is to go up for sale then she is to split the proceeds 50-50 with you.  If you don't have an atty, then you need to get one.  So that your interests are represented.  You atty is only there to look after your best interest.   I can not stress it enough that you need to have an atty to represent you during this process.  I am so glad that I had one.  Now that I look back on that time there are things that I don't even remember at all about that time in my life.  By having an attorney to represent you, your attorney can see things that you are not able to see.  he has a clear and objective view of the situation and is better able to understand the situation.

Was this agreement on the house done before the divorce was filed? So there is no court order or temp agreement on it?
