leggally married

When we got married my best friend signed the certifacte and she did use her legal last name. Are we legally married? She got married changed her name. They separeted and she started using her madian name again without changing it. So she signed my marriage certifacte with her madien name, (not legal name). SO what do you think? We live in MI

Check with you Clerk of Courts office to answer this question. I am not sure. Sounds like you are married though.

I THINK you are married, but agree with Bigcard, check with your local resources. Your county clerks office should be able to tell you.

i would suggest use the state resource section on this site and call your states helpline for assistance. sounds to me like, though, you are legally married if your friend was just a witness. i am not an attorney though...
