My husband's addiction to drugs and sex cost us everything

My husband became addicted to drugs and was cheating on me, and even though I moved out I continued t support him emotionaly, I hoped he would get through rehab, get better and we could move forward.  He did go to rehab but that was only because he was going to lose his son, but we continued to see each other regularly-he promised he would prove to me how much he loved me, he would on me forever - well forever is here! I believed him & I didn't divorce him, I waited and then when I thought he was better I was ready to work on us, only to find he is still lying not only to me now but to another woman.  He has been cheating on me with her and cheating on her with me and she has no clue!  He lost our house and my $17,000 I put down not to mention the additional equity, and even after he has spent the past year chasing me, he is now saying I abandoned him - and he wants me to just get a quickee divorce.... WHAT? HOW? He went through $6000 in three months, did not make one house payment, paid just enough to keep the lights on and when he couldn't my stupid self paid it for him! His truck was repossed but he got it back and he has left huge debt everywhere - OH he actually said I should give him my diamond earrings and wedding rings because he is still paying on them....I offered to stay in the house and pay the mortgage but then he couldn't look big for his drug friends, he agreed to continue trying to sell the house pay off debts and split the difference instead he lost my money and all  the equity.  What are my options, can I not divorce him and file a civil suite for a small portion of the money.  He was making good money the entire time, he just never paid anything-except the cable "PORN"  ?

you won't get anything in a civil suit. You chose to stay with him, and the destruction of all things financial would be considered your own doing as well. The only thing his addiction will help you with in the divorce is walking away and leaving him with the debts.
