Child support

I lost my job on friday do I still have to pay my ex the full amount of child support?Can I have it modified?

you are obligated to the full amount until a court tells you otherwise.

If your child support was coming out of your check automatically, or goes through the state system - you can not make an "arrangment" with your ex - it won't reflect with the state - and you will show arrears, and it will be a mess you can't fix.

So, if you pay her directly - then go to the court and file for a temporary modification hearing

if your support goes through the system, get down to your local child support enforcement office asap - don't delay, in that you have the time on your hands now... =)

yes, you can have it modified.  talk to her first to see if she will come to some sort of agreement with you.  if not, you need to talk to your lawyer/the courts.
