A test of will.....

This morning, we had a meeting at work that just happened to be a breakfast potluck. Considering breakfast is my weakness, it was a bit tough. No, let me rephrase that, it was hard as hell. Biscuits and gravy, breakfast burritos, taquitos, donuts, hash browns, tamales, egg casseroles….you name it, they had it. Working at my job is really testing my will power. Not to mention, a birthday cake for all the October birthdays. What did I eat you ask? Nothing….I drank my water and watched everyone else. I am truly proud of myself. As I watched them eat, I was thinking to myself, that’s OK…..its going to pay off in the long run. It also helped that I just had breakfast so I wasn’t hungry, although that wouldn’t have stopped me before. I would have eaten anyway. I have a ways to go but I’m proud at how far I have come mentally in such a short period of time. My motto for the day, no pain, no gain!!
