Robert is right.. it is a sin, but we are cleansed from the law by Jesus Blood. God doesn't judge different degrees of sin.. a small white lie is the same as murder to Him. Thank the Good Lord for Jesus! We would all be in a lot of trouble without Him.

The short answer is yes. The other question is, is your ex a Christian? If not, and he asked for the divorce, according to Malachi (I forgot the verse, I have it somewhere if you need it.) It's forgiven, but by the full extent of the law, it is still adultery. Here's the good news though. Through the blood of Christ, you are forgiven. So as a Christian, you can remarry. Paul made references to this type of marriage arrangement, but I'm bad with chapter and verse. Talk to your pastor if you need further direction. Also read for yourself and pray. God is faithful. He will show you the answer.
