How long can this go on?

I live in Pennsylvania and was wondering how long my soon to be ex can hold off the divorce process. I am a man. I filed for the divorce in my county, she counter filed for the divorce in her county, and for jurisdiction, her county took jurisdiction, now we are sitting around waiting for her to make the next move. How long can it go on. Can I refile in her county since her time period has expired. They garnish my weekly pay check for more then half of what I make, and we have no minor children. I can't afford for this divorce to just sit and wait for her to decide she is ready because she is angry and doesn't want me to move on. I have lived seperate from her for 5 years. She lives in our home, I bought my house 5 years ago in another county but same state. Please help.

No you can't re-file in her county - there is action pending and that is where you stand.

In that I don't have the details of your case, and have no idea what has or hasn't been filed and where exactly you are in the process, or for what the time period expired on...I honestly couldn't tell you.

You could talk to your attorney about filing for a default judgement or a motion to compel (depending on the facts of your case) ...or...if you don't have an attorney, I suggest you get one to help the process along.

Sorry I'm not much of a help here, not having a whole lot f detail to work off of.

I'm sorry...I mean no disrespect here but.....I don't understand your situation. You are saying she....Your?.... I think the situation might be different if it was a same sex deal. But then I guess it doesn't matter. .....It would depend on how much was involved with the divorce. She can try to hold it off, but as far as I know you can still have your divorce. How long? I don't know you'll have to check with you state laws....Good Luck
