Legal way to separate in PA....

Does anyone know of any type of legal paper work that I can work up to save my house (a new one that either I or the husband will be purchasing and living in) and my previous finance's? I am separating with my husband and just cannot take the depression, which he is working on with medication right now. However as I have learned if I leave it's a bad thing in PA and vice versa if I send him away. We have a 16 year old son in the mix and I don't want him to have to deal with this around him for he's doing so well in his school right now. Last year wasn't as good for that is when the "world turned to stone" so to speak. I just know that with the medication he's taking and trialing that it's better if I am not there every second of his time at home and it's just better when we are apart right now. I cannot believe I said that, but it's so true. I've been staying with my parents lately some nights but haven't "left" yet. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

In my previous finance's I am speaking of my stocks and bonds that were purchased when I was a child by family members which were never cashed in and have been accruing interest. Also if I were to leave I would need to purchase a home and that would be a "finance" that should not be allowed to be taken from me due to a "separation".

even though there is no legal separation in PA when you file for divorce you can have a separation agreement written up that can be modified at any point before the divorce is final - but it is also court enforceable as well. Sticking point to that is that it has to be mutually agreed to.

what "previous finances" are you talking about?
